Boats huddle awaiting Spring
clattering masts stretch bared
In toroidal anchor ring
crisp frozen starkness dared

Among shades of wet & gray
by waves’ relentless raid
Shivering boats crisply sway
in eerie light arrayed

Grand mountains blurred beyond masts
in bleak wistful distance
Awaiting Spring’s balmy blasts
in thawed warmed existence
