My hope remains dismally faint
that the decline in which we’re immersed
(caused by acute lack of restraint)
can through human efforts be reversed

Amidst their grim takeover
we’re rather inclined to cower
claiming it shall blow over
As the Neo-Fascists glower

Surely we don’t think that our disdain
compels them to desist & abstain?
