On wrong course strayed
when ship’s rudder jammed
sails torn & frayed
turned a voyage damned
A hydrophobic seafarer
on mighty waves of ‘yeah buts’
His maneuvering in error
thus drifted aground, the klutz
Ran out of seas, washed ashore
Met his life saving wife
opened a bicycle store
got on with dry land life
That’s by now some fifty years ago
who could have dreamed what Life would bestow?
