Human Species soon washed-up
by crashing climate or nuke drones
Gotten afraid to look up?
Then just bend down on our smart phones!
By our smartphone’s exaction
stuck in denial we believe
that through its crisp distraction
we’ll somehow receive a reprieve
Ain’t no mere catastrophizing
we should be deeply alarmed
Still we’re on-screen socializing
already horridly harmed
The disaster lead-up found circuitous
to those of us ill-informed, fatuitous
+)
-circuitous = marked by obliqueness or indirection in speech or conduct; deviating from a straight course
-fatuitous = complacently stupid; foolish
