She’s light & lovely wheat
not like him dour rye
While she’s gushy & sweet
he’s reticent, wry

But who knows their true faces
within their home’s four walls?
Hurling invectives, vases
then making up in schmaltz?

As us humans but fleetingly decorous
while we’re rarely failing at obstreperous
