***%) Darling dawn delivers

Body tossing, thoughts churned
in agony, ache
Pleas for ‘peace of mind’ spurned
right up to awake
At last with morning such is
‘darling dawn’ embracing
slipping from darkness clutches
nasty night replacing
Awake to the day in delight
delivered from last night’s bleak blight
