My sweet childhood culture
made me feel much guilt
vexed as by a vulture
often, to the hilt
Gave me uncertainty inbuilt
fearing impropriety
ground down, felt my self esteem wilt
in pounding anxiety
Such rearing brought me to adult life
where it’s causing awkwardness & strife
