Often beyond dispute:
‘mind over matter’
while futile when acute
our aging bladder:
It obeys no command.
If swollen prostate
we shall suffer firsthand
from faulty floodgate.
I used to get into a flap
if no close-at-hand barroom
was displayed on my travel map.
Now if no nearby bathroom.
