a crackling fire roar warming our chilled hearts
thaw the icicles of self absorption
a gallant gale scatter the heavy thoughts
howling through the dank caves of our darkness
a brisk river douse our seething anger
firmly sweep it out into the deep sea
a gentle swell cradle our gnawing fears
the hot summer sun dry our soggy soul
we not suffer in self-imposed constraint
but live freely in the choice of restraint
