%) Successful scammers wield vile but velvet-draped hammers

Us scam victims shall feel aggrieved
over caution neglected
although we sense being deceived
inkling by greed deflected
In greed we might believe
gold of 28 carat
perhaps even perceive
a carnivorous carrot!
So we let ourselves be deceived
as ego’s essence to kvell
perhaps as well even relieved
then with a story to tell!
Smiles of scammers contrived
cloying, beguiling
Once they got us connived
they turn unsmiling
When acting without thinking we may parrot
and thus end up praising that of no merit
+)
kvell = to be extraordinarily pleased; especially, to be bursting with pride, as over one’s family.
