when invaded by task
never knows another choice
but in busy to bask

Takes off in a blaze
her face stern, drained
in hypnotic daze
to task ordained

Hers is always total focus
until all the effort spent
Then changes in phone booth locus
back, but briefly, to Claire Kent

A person’s unique essence
amidst human interaction
business views as excrescence
often treated as infraction

But scripting won’t make us sincere
(sincerity needs no script)
puts up but a flimsy veneer
of obsequious prescript

thus leaves our hapless corporate cog
to slog on in soulless workplace bog

let’s shift up from latency
go cycling with verse’s maidens
with unrestrained ardency

Expressing lucid elation
if ably so in crisp rhymes
may cause to flow a narration
stringed with ethereal chimes

while by will or design
still just primeval?

As when in jam exigent
without known precedent
why’s our response negligent
cowardly hesitant?

Is planet Earth merely God’s petri dish?
Humans his experiment with death wish?

while thousands killed, millions displaced

Soon again in the Gaza Strip:

Time again. It is a
‘mowing of the lawn’
in defenseless Gaza
by IOF ‘brawn’

Like Freedom & Democracy inflicted on Iraq:

When phosphorus, uranium depleted
obliterated ancient Fallujah
by U.S. Empire in war crimes conceited:
Once again Freedom spreads, Hallelujah!

Industrial slaughters by design
while the world looks the other way
Failing help from Providence Divine
hapless civilians the main prey
