restore the art to good graces?
Rather than a slipshod stroll
mongst hackneyed words teeming
don’t we want to fill our soul
with something redeeming?
What do punctured phrases instill
beyond piling up as word fill?

in repetitive abuse
Russia is overarmed
unless she disarms
states the U.S. alarmed
with ten times her arms
Russia needs a thorough spanking
Let’s bravely sanction its banking!

Att få känna sej utmattad
blir begripligt, då o då
av livet rentav tillplattad
av dess svåra slit å sjå
Att vara människa blir att få lida
långt värre än hur oss klemiga kvida
Så undvik gagnlöst bestyr
ta omsorg om vad var dag ger
men sök likväl äventyr
vem vet om det blir några fler?
Sträva att leva modigt, idogt o drivet
långt bättre än blott beklaga ‘sånt är livet!’
