Haughty members officiate
in lofty paneled splendor
Each looking the initiate
though who knows mere pretender?

They bow down to Holy Economy
while in pseudoscience dalliance
suspiciously bit like astrology
in mantic Wall Street misalliance

With technocratic virtuosity
interprets the arcane, complaisant
with ceremonious pomposity
befitting Elite turned complacent

Of social justice little said
by those bailed out Capitalist banks
or of folks hanging by a thread
in desperation-filled serf-like ranks

While The Fed & other Elite conspire
to keep people down in debt-ridden mire

-complaisant = showing a cheerful willingness to do favors for others
-Fed = here: The Federal Reserve Bank. The ‘Central Bank’ of the United States & globally which claims to be independent while owned by banking interests
-mantic = having the power of divination
-Socialism = here ‘reversed’: the government keeps saving Wall Street through bail-outs of private banks, while the people struggle mightily in the harshness of vulture & casino capitalism

flows from rooted stillness
while even in crystal vase
tinged by sadness, chillness

Flowers by their roots profound
picked by purloined human longing
fade in days beyond rebound
wither, lost by not belonging

Why are flowers, which we desecrate
brought to those we want to celebrate?

Find myself apprehensive
of disruptive technology
its claimed blessings ostensive
trade-offs bring no apology

Since ages human hope has been fervent
naively over-optimistic
that technology would be our servant
Now we toil, its slaves fatalistic

Inescapably in its fetters
robbed of last chance of defiance
now also as its hapless debtors
in fine-print, rigged non-compliance

This time we shall have no revolution
that saves us from Species’ execution

From species’ viewpoint we’ve failed
if thinking of what’s right or wrong
God may have gotten us nailed:
It’s mere matter of struggling on!

Doesn’t God bestow us steady strife
while singly we don’t matter?
Do humans more than other life
annoy God with their smatter?

Does God care for how each one of us exists
just as long as the human species persists?

Men djupt i min ålderdom
som känns lite gement
urmodig min kännedom
