När Livet bjuder upp till dans
får vi kanske blott en enda chans
att växa i sanning å sans
inte vilse likt idrottens svans

Synes ett enkelt val
mellan fattning å kval?

As Life is never taintless
might be safer shuffle like sheep
tractably & be plaintless
watching warily from seats cheap

Save us from the raving babble
too grating, clueless & grim!
Elbowed by the ruthless rabble
chance to get out alive: Slim

Aren’t we skating on thin, cracking ice
pretending that all is sweet & nice?

så jag lyssnar oförstående:
Har kändisarna lite vett?

Ordflöden tycks överskugga
och med modeord dölja
påståenden oftast njugga:
Pratar de kanske smörja?

Å vilka dumheter
som anses nyheter!

Like light winds shifting
blowing across the pond
lazy thoughts drifting
awed, by escapism spawned

Unmoored our minds flap
as plunged stones or dipped oars
stir small waves which lap
expediency’s shores

Minds in the mundane adrift
to most else giving short shrift

We’re jumping into the fray
to injure, use up, jaw
As dawns yet another day
we elbow, step on, claw

One more eight billion people raid
bodies bouncing, minds racing
joy, beauty & sanity fade
never mind what we’re facing:

Species die, forests crumble
all brought down way too fast
Glaciers melt, earthquakes rumble
How long can humans last?

Even so we claim this assault
as we primp for each next day
is “no way our doing or fault
so let’s get back in the fray!”

Let’s not use logic or facts
as way burdensome to prepare
fitting into our talking tracts
Much easier to just declare!

Who cares for solidarity
never mind the aftermath
Stay with stale insularity
let’s walk our own primrose path

on which responsible objectivity
won’t risk meet with scantest receptivity

listened to with smile, not frown

Where trampling consumer herds graze
among shrill sales pitches sclerotic
with perked up ears, their screens on face
stampede in commerce idiotic

With grasping hearts ice pack cold
snagging shiny contrivances
by acts as quick as they’re bold
in persuasive connivances

While they barely break in sweat shopping
still being on a track all sopping

Dare to question Tech Perfection
beyond granted latitude
and we’ll face instant rejection
thus won’t change Tech’s attitude

Our misgivings of Technology
is not to slander and belie
It shows signs of own pathology
fever chart racing up awry

Why do we march, lockstep with spring
obeying each ring & flash?
How long let brash gadgets go ‘ting’
while draining our cards of cash?

Just as long as we allow it
feed the Beast and we’ll endow it!

abounding indulgence
beyond happenstance

You’re my life’s five star menu
still served in senescence
For me wobbly the venue
outside your dear presence

From our youthful romance
